I read once that we judge ourselves based on our intentions and we judge others on their behaviors. My mornings are full of great intentions. My nights are the time when I look at myself more objectively and bemoan my behaviors. Luckily, yesterday was a good day for behaviors! My cleaning created a more sacred space in which I can live and move and have my being. Removing dust from the corners is necessary on so many levels – and easiest to do in the house!
After the kitchen emerged from the cleaning frenzy, I decided a more substantial creation was in order. I had three recipes for dinner rolls and needed to decide which one to put into the cookbook I am creating. The best part was doing a bit of research and experimenting to find the best technique for putting the ingredients together properly. Seems I have done it wrong all along…no kneading to make a roll dough. The sodden mass of stickiness which requires oiled hands to form made the best melt-in-your mouth rolls. Who knew?? I distributed the final products to friends and there was a unanimous winner. What a fun project for everyone. Not only did a recipe emerge, but I got to see friends and snagged a free dinner out of the deal.
